"This Is Where I Leave You" is a warm, funny, and honest film about family, with all its love, chaos, and unfinished business. The cast is excellent, and the story moves easily between laughter and tears.

What I took from this movie is that every family, and every human being, has something imperfect. We all have our flaws. If you ever feel that you are the only one who is imperfect, think of even the highest bosses, the CEOs, the professors, the world's experts, the "crème de la crème," as they say. Then ask yourself: is that cream really white and pure, or does it have some dirt and dust in it too?

The Altman family is far from perfect, and that is exactly why they feel so real. Their mistakes and secrets remind us that being imperfect does not make us less worthy of love.

If you want a heartfelt comedy that makes you feel a little better about your own family and yourself, this movie is a lovely choice.
